Some people have been amazed at what I have been able to accomplish since MY beginning. I have come a long way, I am grateful. I can honestly say that I believe it is because I train HARD and HEAVY! My INTENSITY is HIGH! Since the beginning I have had a LOVE for IRON and it seems like God has blessed me with genetics that take well to it. Cardio, on the other hand, is another story. I was never a fan of it. I keep it in because I HAVE to, period. "If it was easy, everyone would be doing it."
I believe I have come such a long way in such a short time because my MIND is in the game. "Where the mind goes, the body will follow." I train HARD. I plan EVERY workout. People who know "Natalie" in the gym, know HOW I DO IT! I go in, train, and go home. No chit-chat, always a 'hello', maybe a few smiles, and most likely a 'good-bye'. That is it! I am there to focus on breathing, form, feeling my muscles work, and breaking my PR's. I do not look pretty nor do I dress pretty. I am making sure I eat my pre and post meals at appropriate tiimes and I am religiously taking my supplements. In this game, EVERYTHING counts!
Offseason training consists of WEIGHT TRAINING only. Cardio is done ONLY if the program calls for it. DC Training was something that I saw results with, so I used it a few times. What works for me may not work for others though. I used DC up until I stopped progressing. I am currently using FST-7 training and I LOVE it.
Pre-Contest training is quite different. I train 7 days a week, one body part a day. I ALWAYS train as HEAVY as possible up until the show. My excercises change as does my set/rep ranges. I am doing cardio whenever my nutritionist(Nate) says I have to. I am either doing it in the AM, on an empty stomach or POST workout.
My supplements are also a huge part of my regimine, offseason and pre-contest. I include all of these RELIGIOUSLY: Animal Pak, Animal Pump, Animal Flex, Animal Nitro, Universal BCAA Stack, Glutamine, green tea, l-carnitine, Muscletech NaNOX9, Muscletech Leukic, and ZMA. PRE-CONTEST, I will add an OTC fat burner and 7-keto in.
I can only suggest that you be CONSISTANT! Find a training schedule that fits, a nutrition plan that works, and a supplementation regimine that shows improvements. BE CONSISTANT. When you reach a plateau, change either your workout schedule OR your nutrition plan. NOT BOTH. Changing one variable at a time will help you see where you are coming up short.
REMEMBER THIS:
